In a highly anticipated clash at the ICC World Cup 2023, the five-time champions, Australia will face hosts India, at Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium. The match is scheduled to kick off at 2:00 p.m. This marks India's inaugural match in the tournament, and it follows their recent victory over Australia in a three-match ODI series, where India emerged triumphant with a 2-1 score.

As India gears up to commence their World Cup journey with this opening match, Australia will be eager to rectify the mistakes from the ODI series. Leading the charge for India will be Rohit Sharma, while Australia will look to make an impact under the captaincy of Pat Cummins.
