Openers Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma gave an elevated start to Team India. Gill continues to score boundaries and his pleasing stroke play has earned him a dazzling fifty, as India gets a fantastic start.

Both openers completed their 100-run stand and soon after that Paul van Meekeren made the first breakthrough by dismissing Gill for 51 runs. Teja Nidamanuru took a stunning one-hander in Meekeren's over.
Virat Kohli entered the ground to shoulder Rohit to guide their team to a respectable total. Skipper completed his 55th ODI half-century on the last ball of the 14th over.
