After an incredible clash between Pakistan and Australia last evening, the ICC World Cup 2023 now heads towards the match between South Africa and England. England's skipper Jos Buttler is ready with his side to face the Proteas in Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium. Aiden Markram has rolled up his sleeves yet again to lead South Africa in their fourth match of the tournament against England.


England skipper Jos Buttler won the toss and elected to bowl first against South Africa.

England's all-rounder Ben Stokes is fit and will play the match against South Africa.

Quinton de Kock has been a consistent performer for the Proteas in the ICC World Cup 2023 so far. Will he be able to put on a big score against England, today will be a point to watch out for.

The story of Australia vs Pakistan:

The match between the Aussies and the Pakistanis took place at Bengaluru's M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl first against Australia.

David Warner and Mitchell Marsh recorded the highest partnership for Australia in ODI World Cup history by smashing 259 runs. David Warner played a knock of 163 runs in just 124 balls including 14 fours and 9 sixes. On the other hand, Australia's second opener Mitchell Marsh accompanied Warner and smashed 121 runs in just 108 balls before getting caught by Usama Mir in Shaheen Shah Afridi's over. Australia had set a target of 368 runs for Pakistan to chase. Pakistan's lead pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi got five wickets under his belt while giving away 54 runs.

Pakistan's opening batsmen Abdullah Shafique and Imam-Ul-Haq smashed 64 runs and 70 runs respectively. Both openers tried to snatch the win from Australia but were unable to reach the mark. Later, Pakistan's wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan scored 46 runs but was dismissed by Adam Zampa. Mighty spinner Zampa registered four wickets under his name for 53 runs.

Australia won the match by 62 runs. Their veteran opener David Warner won the Man of the Match award for his incredible knock in the match.
