Here's why Sehwag should host 'Comedy Nights with Viru' on Twitter

Former India opener Virender Sehwag was known for his explosive and entertaining batting style during his playing days. He enthralled cricket lovers with his amazing strokeplay going on to be called 'Nawab of Najafgarh'.

But even after retiring from the game, Sehwag hasn't stopped entertaining his fans. Only now, from the cricket field, the 37-year-old has moved to the social media platform and keeping people in good spirits with his witty tweets.

Viru's superbly hilarious posts, especially his humorous birthday wishes, are having the same effect on Twitterati as his sixes had on cricket followers.

They are so popular that he should be crowned the 'Nawab of Twitter' and host a special 'Comedy Nights with Viru' on the micro-blogging site.

Here are some of his hilarious tweets:

He wished former cricketer-turned-commentator Arun Lal on his birthday with this witty take on the 61-year-old's usage of idioms.

He called Hollywood actor John C Reilly his photocopy.

And this one for singer Sonu Nigam gives us a glimpse into his mind as a cricketer. His advice for cricketers seems to be 'Don't overthink it, just sing it'.

Here's Sehwag congratulating Harbhajan on becoming a dad in his indomitable style.

And how about this one about Jacob Oram.

He is on the spot with his description of West Indies legend Sir Garfield Sobers.

Sehwag birthday wish for former Australian skipper Allan Border must have left cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar in splits.

And how about when he turned Jonty Rhodes into a bird.

Is this a truck or a rocket? Ask Sehwag...

These bees have better security than many of our politicians.

He congratulated R Ashwin

He trolled and showed respect to Pakistan great Zaheer Abbas while wishing him. Truly an all-rounder.

ANd his advice to Shami is just EPIC!

Indians should learn something from this tweet. But will they?

This wish for former England skipper Graham Gooch let us chasing our tails.
