Seems like Delhi Capitals have fully recovered from the Covid-19 setback. On the eve of their match against Kolkata Knight Riders, DC declared that Mitchell Marsh and Tim Seifert had recovered and were back with the team. Marsh was, in fact, drafted into the playing XI on Thursday. Head coach Ricky Ponting too was out of isolation after a family member had tested positive.

DC physio Patrick Farhat, who was the first to test positive two weeks ago, has recovered as well. The former Team India physio was overseeing the team’s warm-up session at the Wankhede Stadium ahead of their match against KKR. The KKR players too mingled freely with the DC guys. In the last few games, the players were instructed to maintain social distance with Delhi Capitals players and also avoid the customary handshake after the match. Normalcy indeed, has resumed at DC.

Pedas in press pox

Mumbai U-19 and U-25 boys performing well in domestic competitions called for a small celebration on Thursday. The treasurer of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA), Jagdish Achrekar visited the press box with a box of pedas for the journalists. He personally reached out to all the journos to share his joy. The gesture was well appreciated as many of them have covered Mumbai cricket extensively. Mumbai beat Vidarbha to clinch the U-25 CK Nayudu Trophy, while Mumbai U-19 boys have reached the final of the Cooch Behar Trophy. The Mumbai Ranji team have also qualified for the knockout round.
