Rovman Powell and Kemar Roach led the West Indies to a 52-run win over Ireland in World Cup qualifying Group 'A'. Coming in at number seven, with his team 83 for five having been 58 for four, Powell hit seven fours and seven sixes in a superb innings of 101 from 100 balls in an otherwise low-scoring game.
He put on 86 with Jason Holder, who added a 54, and 60 with tail-ender Ashley Nurse as the Windies finished on 257 for eight. Roach took two early wickets and returned to remove top scorer Ed Joyce, for 63 in figures of four for 27 as Ireland subsided to 205 all out.
