Ravindra Jadeja's sister tells mid-day that she is happy that Jadeja has finally got time to marry and the family is missing their late mother Lata on the occasion

Rajkot: Even as his Indian Premier League (IPL) teammates from Gujarat Lions were preparing to take on Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium on Saturday, Ravindra Jadeja, who hails from the erstwhile princely state of Jamnagar, famous for its rich cricketing heritage, was busy with his pre-wedding rituals at a hotel in Rajkot.

Jadeja will marry Reevaba Solanki, who also hails from Rajkot.

The couple got engaged on February 5. The family organised a grand musical night, attended by the who's who of the on Saturday.
The celebrations included, vedic chants recited by a priest and customary wedding songs sung by ladies in true Rajput tradition. Jadeja's sisters — Nainaba and Padminiba along with other female relatives performed the rituals.
Jadeja wore a sherwani and sported a turban when he arrived for the rituals on Saturday morning with his father Aniruddhsinh and other relatives.
"I'm so happy that Ravindra has finally found some time from his busy schedule and is getting married. This is a big event and it means so much for all of us. We have left no stone unturned to ensure Ravindra's wedding is grand and memorable. We all are missing our late mother (Lata) on this occasion," Jadeja's sister Padminiba told mid-day.
MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Dwayne Bravo and several Indian cricketers are expected to fly down to Rajkot to attend Jadeja's reception.
