Kohli got a warm reception by the sparse crowd at the IS Bindra Stadium as he walked in to bat after Cheteshwar Pujara's wicket.

A group of spectators also sang 'Happy birthday dear Kohli' when the skipper was on the field trying to plot the South African downfall.

The star player though could only survive four deliveries for his single run before becoming debutant pacer Kagiso Rabada¿s first Test victim as the India were bowled out for 201.

The giant screen at the stadium continued to display birthday wishes of fans from across India to celebrate their star's birthday at the venue.

Earlier, Team India has posted their wishes on twitter with more wishes coming in on social media as the day progressed.

It is reported that a cake-cutting ceremony is also planned for the popular cricketer in the dressing room and another such party in the hotel where the Indian team is
