A wet outfield caused by intermittent rains over the past week delayed the start of the series-deciding third and final Test between India and New Zealand on Saturday.

The outfield at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur was found to be wet at the scheduled toss time of 9:00 am (0330 GMT) although the sun had broken through.

The series is tied 0-0 after the first two Tests in Ahmedabad and Hyderabad ended in draws.

The Test series will be followed by five one-day internationals from Nov 28.
