The highest fourth-wicket stand in Test history — 449 — took the home team to 583-4 before they declared at lunch with Voges unbeaten on 269 and Marsh having made 182.
Off-spinner Nathan Lyon then claimed 3-43 as the tourists struggled with the bat and despite an unbeaten 94 from Darren Bravo could only reach 207-6 at stumps, still 376 behind.
