Virat Kohli became the number one batsman in ODIs on Saturday after a fine batting show against Australia in the just-concluded series that saw him aggregate 344 runs.
Kohli scores of 61 (in Pune), 100 not out (in Jaipur), 68 (in Mohali), 115 not out (in Nagpur) and 0 (in Bangalore) saw the 24-year-old average 114.66, and earn 38 ratings points that helped him jump three places to top of the ICC ranking table for ODI batsmen.
This is the first time that the Delhi lad has attained the No 1 spot in his career. He is only the third India batsman to achieve this feat, after Sachin Tendulkar and Mahendra Singh Dhoni.u00a0
