Now with international cricket making a comeback in Pakistan, the fans look forward to the prospects of some star cricketers visiting the country; MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli top list

International cricket will resume in Pakistan with Faf du Plessis captaining the World XI side team against Pakistan for the upcoming Twenty20 series.


Ever since the terror attacks in 2009, no international Test cricket playing nation visited Pakistan due to security issues. ICC also refrained from sending any officials of referees for the 2015 series involving Zimbabwe in Lahore.


Pakistan's star all-rounder Shahid Afridi welcomed the move of international cricket with a tweet of his own. Shahid Afridi, who is known to have a good relationship with some Indian cricketers also tweeted in their favour.

Now with international cricket making a comeback in Pakistan, the fans look forward to the prospects of some star cricketers visiting the country. However, it was a point to be made that Indian captain Virat Kohli and wicket-keeper MS Dhoni were among the favourites.

This series will include three T20Is to be played on September 12, 13 and 15 at the Gaddafi stadium. While no Indian cricketer will be part of the World XI team, they will gear up for their upcoming ODI series against Australia.

World XI squad: Faf du Plessis (Captain), Hashim Amla, Colin Miller, Imran Tahir, Morne Morkel (SA), George Bailey, Tim Paine, Bn Cutting (Aust), Tamim Iqbal (Bangladesh), Thisara Perera (Sri Lanka), Grant Elliot (NZ), Paul Collingwood (Eng) Darren Sammy and Samuel Badree (West Indies).
