TERRY Fox Run an event aimed to collect funds to fight against cancer amongst children and spread awareness about the dreaded disease will stage its 11th successive run tomorrow from Air India building to Marine Drive flyover and finish at the Brabourne Stadium.
However, this time even municipal schools will join hands in the cause.
"They might not contribute financially but they will help in spreading the awareness. And that is what we are aiming at," said Gul Kripalani, chairman of the Terry Fox (India) committee yesterday.
"We want maximum people to know about it. Cancer can happen to children as well," Kripalani added.
Kripalani, who has been associated with the Terry Fox Run since 1998, is expecting to collect nearly Rs 50 lakh this year, which will be utilised by the Tata Memorial hospital in Parel for cancer research.
"India was in the top five countries to collect the funds last year. Seeing the excitement and enthusiasm this year we hope to top the charts," he said.
