The under-14 champion from Campion (school) shocked India's ace swimmer, club mate and favourite Yudhishthir Jaisingh at the 36th Maharashtra State Amateur Aquatic Association Championship held in Thane.
Following his achievement in the Thane State meet, Sachet has qualified to represent Maharashtra in the National Championships that will be held at the Sawai Mansingh Pool in Jaipur from June 23 to 27.
Sachet, of Otters Club, Bandra won his first gold medal at the age of 5 at the Annual YMCA meet and has gone on to add a remarkable 400 more since then at the district, state and national levels.
