India icon Sachin Tendulkar and veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh paid tribute to the Indian armed forced on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas yesterday. Every July 26th is celebrated as the anniversary of India's victory in the 1999 Kargil conflict with Pakistan.

"Saluting our brave soldiers who served at #Kargil, and those who continue to serve and protect us each day. Jai hind," Tendulkar, who is also an honorary Group Captain on the Indian Air Force, wrote on Twitter. "We'll never forget the sacrifices. A big salute to all the soldiers and Indian armed forces for having our back always. #KargilVijayDiwas," Harbhajan tweeted.
