Man City footballer is part of a criminal investigation over a pub incident
Manchester City striker Robinho has been arrested over allegations of a serious sexual assault in a nightclub, the Sun newspaper reported Wednesday.

The Brazil international's spokesman, Chris Nathaniel, confirmed Robinho met with police on Tuesday "as part of a criminal investigation" but said he denied any wrongdoing.
"We can confirm that Robinho met the police today, as pre-arranged and as part of a criminal investigation," Nathaniel said in a statement on Robinho's personal website.
"He strenuously denies any allegation of wrongdoing or criminality and is happy to cooperate with the police if required further."
West Yorkshire police in northern England confirmed a man was arrested on Tuesday and was questioned in connection with a serious sexual assault in a Leeds nightclub on January 14.
A spokesman said the man had been released on bail pending further inquiries.
