Former India opener Virender Sehwag is known for his wit on Twitter. But there are other cricketers too on the micro blogging site who can be in Sehwag's Twitter team if he ever forms one based on wit. The latest to put up his name for the playing XI is India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja.
It been revealed that Xiaomi will launch its all-rounder phone Redmi Note 4 in India on January 19, with Flipkart being the official point of sale for the device. Flipkart started promoting the smartphone on social media with catchy lines, but India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja didn't seem to agree with Flipkart's marketing strategy.
The Saurashtra lad took to Twitter to question the e-retailer.
The e-commerce giant initially posted a rather enigmatic tweet, saying that India's "new all-rounder" was to visit them on January 19.
Now, the timing seems all wrong since India will take on England in their second ODI at Cuttack's Barabati Stadium on the same date. And three of India's best all-rounders, from the current crop, -- Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya -- are going to be busy with that game. So who would be visiting Flpkart?
Jadeja tweeted asking Flipkart to reschedule the event since he was busy.
This led to a conversation between the 28-year-old cricketer and the e-retailer in which both seemed to be trolling each other.
Here's the conversation Jadeja and Flipkart had on Twitter:
India's new all-rounder is visiting us on January 19th. One of the best in India! Any guesses who it is?

@Flipkart Why this Kolaveri di? Should have informed me before announcing? Anyway, got a match on the 19th… let's push this to 20th?

@Flipkart Who are you talking about? Can someone help me figure it out? pic.twitter.com/IDJyjOMii0

@Flipkart You’re asking who can ever troll Jadeja? How do you think I got the name ‘Sir’ Jadeja?
— Ravindrasinh jadeja (@imjadeja) January 14, 2017
@imjadeja Sir Jadeja. No offense. But we know this all-rounder will be the ideal for tons of Indians. Unsure if you can match up to him. https://t.co/mq20gHQK6B

@imjadeja You are also a fan of the great all-rounder? Woah, we didn't know :) https://t.co/pKC9w1OzZ5
— Flipkart (@Flipkart) January 14, 2017
@Flipkart Fan?! I AM India's leading all-rounder!
— Ravindrasinh jadeja (@imjadeja) January 14, 2017
Here is what Flipkart and Redmi India tweeted to clear the confusion. After all, who can beat Jaddu:
@imjadeja Who can ever troll Sir Jadeja. But I think we're talking about two different things here…#AllRounderOnFlipkart https://t.co/iqWRGmKEfo
— Flipkart (@Flipkart) January 14, 2017
@Flipkart Think it's time to clear the confusion @imjadeja No offense but think Flipkart meant us. Our new all-rounder is coming on the 19th
