Shreyas Iyer struck unbeaten 75 to help Mumbai take 307-run lead in the second innings against Andhra Pradesh on Day Three in Ranji Trophy Group 'C' encounter at CSR Sharma College ground yesterday. Mumbai posted 190 for four with skipper Aditya Tare (1 not out) giving Iyer company at the close of play. First innings centurion, in-form Prithvi shaw was unfortunate to get run-out on 21. Earlier, resuming on overnight score of 74 for two, Andhra Pradesh's batsmen further added 141 runs before getting bowled out for 215. Courtesy to pacer Shardul Thakur's fifer. He returned with an impressive figures of five for 55 and was well supported by another pacer Dhawal Kulkarni who claimed three for 44.

Delhi in quarter-finals
In New Delhi, Navdeep Saini's lion-hearted effort complemented by Vikas Mishra's disciplined bowling saw Delhi crush Maharashtra by an innings and 61 runs in a Group 'A' match to ensure quarter-final berth in the Ranji Trophy. In reply to Delhi's first innings score of 419, Maharashtra scored 99 and 259 in their two innings as the match ended on Day Three. Delhi got 12 wickets yesterday, with Rahul Tripathi's 78 ball 106 being the highlight of Maharashtra's otherwise disastrous outing. Saini claimed four for 57 while Mishra took four for 90. Skipper Ishant Sharma also took two wickets.


Jaffer hits 158 for Vidarbha
In Porvorim, former India opener Wasim Jaffer and Ganesh Satish (101*) scored centuries as Vidarbha declared their first innings on 427 for three on Day Three against Goa in Group 'D' match. In reply, Goa seen struggling in their second innings at 19 for two, trailing 169 runs with eight wickets in hand at the close of play. Resuming on overnight score of 70, former Mumbai skipper Jaffer hit his 52nd first-class century. He faced 369 balls in his 158-run knock including 12 fours and two sixes.

Bengal aim for a QF berth
In Amritsar, pacer Ishan Porel grabbed his maiden five-wicket haul against Punjab as Bengal inched closer towards quarter-finals with an emphatic innings and 19 run win in Group 'D' match. Abhishek Raman (155) and Abhimanyu Easwaran (117) propelled Bengal to 379 for nine before declaring with a big lead of 232 runs. Punjab were then bowled out for 213.

Samson slams another ton
In Thiruvananthapuram, Sanju Samson continued his good form and struck a quickfire century as Kerala need another nine wickets today to register an outright win over Saurashtra in a Group 'B' match.
