The adage that 'commentators are heard, not seen' was proved right by a couple of recent experiences former West Indian pacer-turned-commentator Ian Bishop has had in India during the IPL-7.

The 6.5 foot tall pacer, a known face in his prime, twice became a victim of mistaken identity recently.

On May 8th, the 46-year-old Trinidadian revealed on Twitter that he was mistaken for West Indies' legendary opener Gordon Greenidge.
Thankfully, the 'criminal' was a 13-year-old, so his 'crime' was excusable. Last Thursday Bishop tweeted: "13yr old kid walked up to me outside our hotel this morning & said Mr Greenidge can I have a photo please. Gordon Greenidge is 63yrs old. Lol"
Unfortunately, the 'crime' was committed again on May 11, this time at the Delhi airport. And this 'fan' mistook Bishop for Sir Vivian Richards.
Yesterday Bishop tweeted: "Going through Delhi airport yesterday I got the 'Mr Vivian Richards can I have a photo with you please'. Lol"
Interestingly, while interacting with Bishop on Twitter, cricket statistician Mohandas Menon reminded him of the time when an All India Radio producer mistook him for WI pacer Malcolm Marshall during the 2007 India-WI ODI series in Gwalior.
