Karachi: After claiming an impressive 127-run victory over England in the final Test of the three-match series at Sharjah, Pakistan Test skipper Misbah-ul Haq has lauded the former for their spirited fighting.

The Pakistan skipper said that they finally managed to win, crediting England for fighting well in the game, the Dawn reported.


With the win at Sharjah, Pakistan also clinched the three-match series 2-0.


Lavishing praise on Yasir Shah, the 41-year-old said that the leg-spinner was outstanding and made a major contribution in their series win.

Misbah also expressed his views on his Test retirement plans, saying that he would soon decide whether he wants to continue or not.

Meanwhile, England skipper Alastair Cook insisted that his side competed well but unfortunately failed to dominate Pakistan.

Earlier, Pakistan had won the second Test by 178 runs while the first Test between the two sides had ended in a thrilling draw.

Pakistan, now have climbed up to the second spot in the ICC Test ranking while England have moved down to the sixth position.

The win also saw Pakistan maintain their unbeaten record at the United Arab Emirates.
