A BBC blog revealed that there was flare up when New Zealand 12th man Kyle Mills ran on with the drinks, ''''and got involved in an altercation with the South African batsmen.

Mills appeared to say something to South African batsman Faf du Plessis when he came onto the pitch shortly after AB de Villiers had been run out.

An ICC spokesman said Mahanama is "looking into an incident involving Daniel Vettori, Kyle Mills and Faf du Plessis."

A ruling is expected.
