After enjoying the spectacular closing ceremony, the players sat together inside the dressing room to savour the victory.
Music played while the players shook hands and did high fives after returning with the trophy.
Andrew Symonds enjoyed his beer while Herschelle Gibbs chatted with a couple of local friends. Most of the players had beer too.
At the Monte Casino hotel, the champions were greeted at their lobby by an enthusiastic, noisy crowd of around 50-60 fans.
The star players were mobbed by fans who asked them to pose for photographs. The players later assembled for a big party at Hotel Saxon arranged by the team owners.
It was here that the players let their hair down and partied away.
