The team was due to depart on Monday for a two-Test series but the plans are on hold indefinitely following advice from the Australian government. “We have received advice from DFAT (Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade) and based on that information we are working with security experts and the Bangladesh Cricket Board on a revised security plan for the tour,” CA chief executive James Sutherland said. Australia were scheduled to play a practice game in Fatullah on October 3 followed by Tests in Chittagong and Mirpur starting on October 9 and October 17 respectively. The DFAT updated its travel advice for Bangladesh on Friday, warning of possible attacks.
