Both teams struggled to hit form early with Delhi losing both their opening encounters and RCB managing just a win from their first three matches.
But they have gained confidence after their wins in their last matches. While Delhi defeated Mumbai Indians to end a nine match losing streak at their home ground since 2013, RCB bounced back with a win against league leaders Rajasthan Royals at Ahmedabad.
A win for sixth-placed RCB will enable them to join third positioned Kolkata Knight Riders (six points) and fourth-placed DD (six).
