Team India may have lost their first Test against England by 31 runs in Edgbaston, but it was the dropped catches at slip of Sam Curran and Adil Rashid by Shikhar Dhawan that was criticised the most.

It was not just critics, but even social media users lashed out at Dhawan. On Sunday, Dhawan tweeted this family picture and took the opportunity to aplogise for his mistakes.
"Wish you all a very #HappyFriendshipDay. I know you're all very sad & disappointed with our narrow loss yesterday. I've looked into my own performance, the mistakes I made and I'll come back stronger and wiser in the next game. Thank u for all the love & support," he wrote alongside the picture.
Shikhar Dhawan had a below par outing during the First Test, scoring only 26 and 13 in the first and second innings respectively. His inclusion in the starting 11 is a doubt for the second Test, as captain Virat Kohli might go for the stability and technique provided by Cheteshwar Pujara, on the tricky English wickets, over Shikhar Dhawan's flamboyance.
