Sourav Ganguly was left 'terrified' as the ongoing public disorder here spilled over outside his hotel on Tuesday evening
Sourav Ganguly was left 'terrified' as the ongoing public disorder here spilled over outside his hotel on Tuesday evening. Ganguly experienced the riots while checking into his hotel soon after landing at London's Heathrow Airport.
"I was left terrified and frightened. I have never experienced something like that in my life. After the incident, I promised myself never to get out of the room in the evenings in the next four days," said Ganguly, who had flown back home after the second Test.
Ganguly witnessed first hand the mob looting a supermarket situated outside his hotel. "I'm actually surprised the police are not using guns to stop the mob. I'm certain that this Test would have been cancelled if it was held at Oval or Lord's (in London)," said the former India captain.
