Australian cricketer David Warner's wife Candice may not have got the winner's medal after finishing her first ever marathon, but the former model and Ironwoman's joy knew no bounds when she was hugged by her daughter Ivy Mae, 2, at the finish line of the Gold Coast marathon.

Candice finished with a time of 3 hours, 46 minutes, 36 seconds for the 42.2km full marathon event.

The mother-of-two, who retired from the Nutri-Grain Ironwoman series after meeting and marrying the Australian opening batsman, was eager for a new sporting challenge and so decided to train for the marathon.

We are really proud. We love you," the cricketer captioned one of the pictures posted to his 1.3 million Instagram followers.
