The big-hitting 34-year-old batsman, who is currently nursing a hamstring injury, said the triple misfortune had befallen him since he returned from the tour of India three weeks ago.
"Since home I've been in 3 Car accidents... None Major - Luckily I'm ok and well. It could have been worst. #GiveThanks," Gayle wrote on Twitter.
Gayle's hamstring injury forced him to miss West Indies' ongoing tour of New Zealand.
A 15-man Windies squad named on Friday for the five-game series doesn't feature explosive opener Gayle or world class allrounder Kieron Pollard, who is still recovering from a leg injury.
The pair weren't available for this month's three-Test series. A West Indies Cricket Board statement said the pair could yet be considered for the two Twenty20 internationals in January.
