After son Yuvraj, the 57-year-old Yograj was diagnosed with cancer too. “I have recovered a lot but can’t speak much. Thank you for your concern,” he said over the phone from Mississippi, before boarding a flight. Yograj will have two stopovers — at Houston and New Jersey — before reaching New Delhi. The cancer in Yograj’s vocal chords was diagnosed a few months ago and a successful surgery was performed in America. Yograj was accompanied by his wife Satveer Kaur and kids Victor and Ameya. “My husband is much better now. The US doctors have permitted him to return to India and have asked him to return after three months for a check up,” said Satveer.

“He has been able to eat semi-solid food. He has recovered with his well-wishers’ wishes,” she said. Yograj married Satveer after divorcing his first wife Shabnam Singh, the mother of Yuvraj and Joravar. “Yuvraj and his father are in regular contact with each other,” Satveer added.
