Former Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) pitch curator Prabir Mukherjee has passed away; he breathed his last at around 10.30 pm on Tuesday night. He was 86.

Kolkata: Former Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) pitch curator Prabir Mukherjee passed away today at the age of 86.

He breathed his last on Tuesday night arund 10.30 pm. He began associating with CAB in 1979.
For almost 25 years, Prabir Mukherjee and has also been manager of the East Zone and Bengal teams.
Board of Control for Cricket Association (BCCI) went on to tweet about the curator's passing.

Many cricket players and personalities paid their respects on Twitter. Yuvraj Singh went on to retweet what BCCI said. Meanwhile, Ambati Rayudu, Manoj Tiwary and Harsha Bhogle went on to tweet about it.

Mukherjee was suffering from liver ailments for the last couple of years.
His mortal remains will not be brought at the Eden Gardens ground - the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) office.
