"The BCCI has conveyed to us (MCA) that they do not wish to shift their office to BKC. They are very happy with the current set up. Hence, the MCA will now plan to develop on the remaining FSI (Floor Space Index)," MCA's Joint Honorary Secretary Dr PV Shetty told Sunday mid-day on Saturday.
It was reported that the BCCI was keen to shift their office to BKC for its close proximity to Mumbai's international and domestic airports.
Navy ban reduced
Meanwhile, the MCA in its Managing Committee meeting on Saturday, decided to reduce the two-year ban on Indian Navy team to one year after they requested the MCA to rethink the earlier punishment.
The two-year ban on its players remains unchanged. "Indian Navy team will be eligible to participate in MCA tournaments only in the next season now," Shetty said.
Indian Navy players were involved in a scuffle with Accountant General (AG) during a Times Shield 'B' Division match at Cross Maidan recently.
It is learnt that the Managing Committee approved the affiliation committee's recommendation to take away the voting rights of around 13 office clubs which have not played any competitive cricket in the last few years.
