Johannesburg: Cricket Australia has announced that it has postponed the tour of Bangladesh for two-match Test series due to security and safety concerns.

James Sutherland, the CA Chief Executive, said that they had received advice from a range of Australian government sources to delay the tour and insisted that they are working with security experts and the Bangladesh Cricket Board on a revised security plan for the tour, Sport24 reported.
Sutherland also said they want the tour to go ahead but added they cannot comprise on the safety and security of their players and support staff. He said that they would wait for updated security information this week before confirming the team's new schedule.
According to the original schedule, Australia are scheduled to play a three-day warm up game in Fatullah from October 3 before two Tests in Chittagong and Mirpur.
