Pakistan's batting stalwart Shahid Afridi expressed his disappointment at not being part of the third edition of the Indian Premier League by saying, "There has to be a way where politics and sport do not mix."
Pakistan's cricketers will miss yet another edition of the League due to visa problems.
"It is very unfortunate that we can't be in India for this tournament. But I am still hopeful of some development taking place which will pave the way for our entry," said Afridi, who played the first edition for Deccan Chargers.
The flamboyant batsman was confident that the governing council of the tournament would give it their best shot to ensure Pakistani presence in the event.
