Chennai Super Kings were dealt a blow even before the start of IPL's fifth season with it's opening batsman Abhinav Mukund facing a 10-day spell on the sidelines due to injury.

Chennai Super Kings' opening batsman Abhinav Mukund was today ruled out of action for 10 days after he twisted his left ankle during a fielding practice session for the Indian Premier League tournament here.

According to a posting on the team's website quoting team physio Tommy Simsek and manager Russell Radhakrishnan, Mukund was given medical attention on the field and taken for a precautionary X-ray, which revealed he will be out of action for 10 days.

He injured himself during a practice session last evening. The defending champions will to take on Mumbai Indians in the inaugural match of the fifth edition of the cash-rich tournament on April 4.u00a0
