Kumar's committee (Cheteshwar Pujara and Shikhar Dhawan are other members of the panel) will collect fines for turning up late for the bus leaving the hotel, team meetings or net sessions. The money collected will go to a noble cause.
"Bhuvi is most disciplined and has been punctual throughout his career," said Sanjay Rastogi, who coached him in his early days.
"I don't remember a single day when he didn't turn up for training on time. He has always maintained a good time-schedule which was also a good example for other boys. Bhuvi's sincerity has always stood out. So far, he has not been involved in any controversy and will certainly keep his slate clean," Rastogi added from Meerut.
Vipin Vats, another coach, who guided the India fast bowler, said, "he used to arrive at my academy before time. He never compromised on punctuality. He is a very shy person, the son of an honest father, who was in police department."
Bhuvi's father Kiran Pal Singh said, "we learnt our lessons in punctuality from my days in the police department. Discipline is the essence of the police force and there can be no short cuts."
