WB Police STF arrests Pakistan-trained militant near India-Bangladesh border

On December 21, a team from the Special Task Force (STF) of West Bengal Police arrested a Pakistan-trained militant named Javed Munshi. He is a known expert in making improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and handling weapons. Munshi is linked to the banned terrorist group Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen (TuM). The arrest took place near the India-Bangladesh border, in the Canning area of South 24 Parganas. This operation was carried out by the Jammu and Kashmir Police and Kolkata Police together, based on secret information. Javed Munshi will be presented before the Alipore court soon.
