Amid the ongoing suspense over who will be the Maharashtra CM, Union Minister of State Ramdas Athawale on November 26 backed Devendra Fadnavis’ candidature for the Chief Minister post. While speaking to ANI, he suggested nominating Eknath Shinde to the central cabinet. "When Eknath Shinde came to know that the BJP high command has selected Devendra Fadnavis as the CM (of Maharashtra), he was a bit unhappy, which I can understand. PM Modi visited Mumbai on 14th November to address a public meeting at Shivaji Park ahead of the Maharashtra Election 2024. PM Narendra Modi attacked the Maha Vikas Aghadi and said that MVA has become slaves to appeasement. He further said, “Leaders of Maha Vikas Aghadi have become slaves to appeasement. The leaders of Maha Vikas Aghadi opposed the construction of Ram Temple. For the sake of votes, they used the words like 'Bhagwa aatankwad'. They disrespect Veer Savarkar.
