After the Sambhal violence that resulted in deaths, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav commented on November 25, dragging the recently released film The Sabarmati Report into the controversy. He claimed that the government created the violence to distract from their mistakes and election manipulation. Yadav suggested that some people, after watching the movie, were inspired to become influential leaders, which he believes may have triggered the violence. He mentioned that opposition MPs wanted to bring up the issue in Parliament, but they will do so when they get the chance.
