Jaipur Tanker Blast: Major Accident and fire incident kills atleast Four

In a major tragedy in Jaipur’s Bhankrota area, atleast 4 were killed due to a fire that broke out due to the collision of many vehicles one after the other. While efforts are being made to douse the fire, the incident left several injured and led to the loss of lives. Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma visited the spot in Jaipur’s Bhankrota area where massive fire broke out in the morning on December 20. He also took stock of the situation. Deputy Chief Minister Prem Chand Bairwa was also present in the spot. A total of 4 people have been declared dead and 35 others have sustained injuries. The fire incident occurred due to the collision of multiple vehicles near a petrol pump on the main Ajmer road.

At the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit, Karan Adani, Managing Director of Adani Ports and SEZ Ltd., announced that the Adani Group plans to invest Rs. 7.5 lakh crores in Rajasthan over the next five years. This investment will cover various sectors, with over 50% of it focused on renewable energy. The group aims to build the world’s largest green energy ecosystem, including 100 gigawatts of renewable energy, 2 million tonnes of hydrogen, and 1.8 gigawatts of pump hydro storage. These efforts will create many green jobs in the state. Additionally, the Adani Group will establish four new cement plants to increase Rajasthan’s cement production by 6 million tonnes annually.

Home voting in Rajasthan for the first phase of Lok Sabha election 2024 starts

The Home Voting for first phase of Lok Sabha election began in Rajasthan on April 5. The home voting facility announced by Election Commission of India has been extended to senior citizens above 85 years of age and voters with over 40 percent disability. In Jaipur Lok Sabha constituency, a total of 3,632 eligible voters, including 3,134 voters above 85 years of age and 498 voters with more than 40 percent disability, have applied for home voting facility. In Jaipur Rural Lok Sabha constituency, a total of 3, 971 eligible voters, including 3,130 voters above 85 years of age and 841 voters with more than 40 percent disability, have applied for home voting facility. In the first phase home voting facility will be provided till April 13 from morning 7 AM to 6 PM. Under the second phase home voting facility will be provided for absentee voters on 15th April and 16th April. Special polling teams have been assigned for Home voting facility. Each polling team includes two polling officers, one micro observer, one policeman and one videographer.
