Bollywood stars Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor recently attended an event in Mumbai where the actress was asked to sing a song for the audience. While she did start crooning 'Kesariya', she forgot the song midway and that is when her husband came to her rescue. Ranbir and Alia were present at the Mumbai Press Club for a Calendar Launch Event.

Exactly 15 days after the state home minister Dilip Walse Patil called a meeting with top Maharashtra Cyber Cell officials along with mid-day reporters, taking cognisance of the loan app harassment reportage, the Cyber Cell has busted one module originating from Karnataka. Five accused who have been harassing borrowers by morphing their pictures and sharing the same with the victims’ contacts were arrested. The arrested accused includes a supervisor who was on the payroll of the loan app syndicate.

Cybercrimes should be dealt with under a separate law with provisions for stringent action. This is the crux of a proposal sent by Mumbai Commissioner of Police (CP) Sanjay Pandey to the state home ministry. Jolted by a series of mid-day reports on the harassment of borrowers of loan apps, state home minister Dilip Walse Patil talked of amending the law last week. Pandey has been a staunch advocate of a new cybercrime law for a long time.
