Bora joined TMC in 2022, expecting it to help intensify the fight against BJP. However, he found that continuing with TMC would not be effective because the party is not accepted by the people of Assam. He felt that staying in TMC would be a waste of time and energy, and thus decided to leave in search of a more effective platform to challenge the BJP.
