The Indian Army recently gave a detailed demonstration showing how its air defence systems, including the powerful AKASH missile system, played a key role in protecting the Golden Temple in Amritsar and several major cities in Punjab from missile and drone attacks launched by Pakistan. During the demonstration, Army personnel explained how the defence systems were able to quickly detect, track, and destroy incoming threats, including modern Turkish-made drones used by the enemy. According to the officials, only about 10% of the available ammunition was used to effectively neutralize these drones, showing the high efficiency and accuracy of the Indian air defence network.
