A farewell function in the honour of Supreme Court Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul was organised on Dec 15. At the function, CJI DY Chandrachud quoted poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz to bid farewell to his colleague & friend for over 47 years. At the Supreme Court Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul’s Farewell, CJI Chandrachud congratulated Justice Kaul for his enormous contribution to Indian judiciary especially in the Article 370 repeal case. Supreme Court judge Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul stressed the need for the judges to exhibit boldness, since they have Constitutional protection.

Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud on September 14 quoted his friend who was of the view that watching live hearings on YouTube is better than watching a movie on Netflix. CJI Chandrachud said, “A friend once told me, a few days back in fact, watching one of these live hearings on YouTube was better than watching a Netflix movie on occasion.”

Chief Justice of India, DY Chandrachud at the Constitution Day event in Delhi said, “The Constitution helps shrug off colonial baggage... Representation of the marginalised sections in judiciary is key. We need to remove institutional flaws”. The event was also attended by PM Modi and Law Minister Kiren Rijju.
