Mumbai LIVE Updates: Western Railway announces night block in some areas

Mumbai LIVE Updates: Western Railway (WR) on Friday announced a night block between Bhayandar and Borivali stations during the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, May 24–25, 2025, to carry out essential maintenance work. According to WR's Mumbai local train updates, the block is necessary for the upkeep of railway infrastructure, including track repairs, signalling systems, and overhead equipment. In a statement, Vineet Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, said the "Jumbo Block" will be in effect from 11:30 pm to 3:00 am on the UP fast line and from 1:15 am to 4:45 am on the Down fast line. During these hours, all fast local trains will be diverted to the UP slow lines between Virar/Vasai Road and Borivali. As a result, certain local train services will be cancelled. Read More
