Due to overcrowding on train, the Bandra-Gorakhpur Express, passenger demand exceeded platform capacity, resulting in injuries. Of the injured, seven are in stable condition, while two have serious injuries. Eyewitnesses of the Bandra stampede described panic at the scene, with one man seen sitting on a bench with a torn shirt and visibly in pain.
