MNS’s Amit Thackeray struggles in Mahim, Shiv Sena's Sawant leads

Amit Thackeray, son of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray, is currently trailing in the Mahim assembly constituency in Mumbai. He is facing stiff competition from Mahesh Sawant of Shiv Sena (UBT) and Sada Sarvankar of Shiv Sena, who won the seat in both 2014 and 2019. According to the latest data from the Election Commission, Amit Thackeray is falling behind both Sawant and Sarvankar in the race. Amit Thackeray, who is contesting his first Maharashtra assembly election, is part of the BJP-led Mahayuti coalition. On the other hand, Mahesh Sawant, the Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate, is currently leading and expresses confidence in winning the constituency. Watch video for more.
