On August 25, 17 people were stranded near Morbi's Dhavana village after a tractor's attached trolley overturned while crossing a flooded causeway. Heavy rainfall caused the water flow to become dangerously strong, leading to the accident. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) was quickly mobilized following the incident. Morbi Collector KB Jhaveri reported that the SDRF has successfully rescued 10 of the stranded individuals so far, with ongoing efforts to save the remaining seven. Jhaveri highlighted the severity of the situation, emphasizing that the intense rainfall and high water levels made the causeway extremely hazardous. The SDRF is working tirelessly to ensure all individuals are safely brought to safety.
