An intense bidding followed for Curran with Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals, Chennai Super Kings, Lucknow Super Giants and Punjab Kings raising their paddles frenetically to secure the services of T20 World Cup player-of-the tournament. Mumbai Indians Junior season 3 gets underway in Mumbai. Mr. Vinay Kumar who is a scout with Mumbai Indians was present at the launch. Mumbai Indians Junior is an inter-school cricket tournament which engages school teams from across the city. This will be the third season of the tournament and it will be played in Mumbai, Nagpur and Pune. In this tournament, schools will participate in 3 categories- U16 Boys, U15 Girls and U14 Boys. More than 200 schools will participate in the tournament this season. The tournament is approved by cricket associations in their respective cities.In Mumbai, schools from MMR region along with Thane, Palghar district and Navi Mumbai will participate. After a 2 year forced pause due to pandemic, MI Junior is resuming in Mumbai. The tournament will be launched in Nagpur in January 2023 and in Pune in February in 2023.
