In a tragic incident, a fire broke out in a single-storey building in Chembur which took lives of 7 people including minors. The fire broke out at 5.20 am on the ground floor, which housed a shop in the building. The fire spread to the upper floor, which was used as a residence, trapping the victims inside. The victims were rushed to Rajawadi Hospital, where they were declared dead on arrival.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to flag off two Vande Bharat trains at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) on February 10 at 2.45 p.m. He will also dedicate two road projects to the nation - the Santacruz Chembur Link Road and Kurar underpass project. Thereafter, at around 4:30 PM, he will inaugurate the new campus of an Aljamea-tus-saifiyah being run by the Dawoodi Bohra community in Mumbai.
