Amid the ongoing Israel-Hezbollah war, International Criminal Court’s decision has sent shockwaves. In a major blow to Netanyahu, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant against him on November 21, 2024. Notably, Israel’s ex defence chief, as well as a Hamas leader, Ibrahim Al-Masri, were included in the warrant for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity. The decision was met with an outrage in Israel, where Benjamin Netanyahu’s supporters expressed their disappointment on ICC warrant. Netanyahu's office said the ICC decision was "anti-semitic" and he will "not yield to pressure, will not be deterred" until Israel's war objectives are met. The EU's foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, said the decision was not a political one but made by a court and thus should be respected and implemented. Notably, Israel's 13-month campaign in Gaza has killed about 44,000 Palestinians and displaced nearly all the enclave's population, Gaza officials say.

21 November,2024 05:23 PM ISTIsrael's military has killed Hezbollah's Media Chief, Mohammad Afif, after a strike in Beirut on November 17. Afif, who had close ties with Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and managed the group's Al-Manar TV station, was a key target for the IDF due to his role in Hezbollah's media operations. His death follows increased tensions, with Hezbollah launching nearly 200 rockets at Israeli border areas on November 11, in retaliation for Israel's actions during the ongoing conflict that began with Hamas' attack on October 7. Israel's military has stepped up its operations against Hezbollah, and Naim Qassem, a senior Hezbollah leader, may be the next target. The group has strongholds in southern Beirut, a key area for Hezbollah's influence.

Shinde also mocked Gandhi's recent appearance with a safe during a press conference, saying he had brought the "tijori" (safe) to loot Maharashtra, instead of helping it. Shinde urged the people of Dharavi to focus on the benefits of the redevelopment project, which he called Asia's largest, and to ignore political figures. On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi had earlier mocked Prime Minister Modi's remark “ek hain to safe hain,” by bringing out a safe during the press meet to highlight his criticism.
19 November,2024 11:52 AM ISTThe war in the Middle East has been ongoing for over a year, with the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) making significant strides against Hezbollah. Reports indicate that Hezbollah’s media chief, Mohammad Afif, was killed in an Israeli airstrike on a building in Beirut, though Hezbollah has not confirmed this. Afif, a close associate of Hezbollah's former leader Nasrallah, managed the group's Al-Manar TV before heading its media relations. The IDF has intensified its operations after Hezbollah launched nearly 200 rockets into Israel on November 11, 2023, in retaliation for the Hamas attack on October 7. With many top Hezbollah commanders eliminated, the group’s leadership, now under Naim Qassem, is facing increased pressure, and he may be the next target for Israeli forces.
18 November,2024 02:19 PM ISTOn November 15th, Israeli Defence Forces launched airstrike in Lebanon’s Beirut. The airstrike flattened a residential building on the edge of Beirut's suburbs as the building was levelled to the ground. A large fireball and smoke could be seen billowing from the strike impact as people gathered at the scene. The strike followed 50 minutes after an Israeli evacuation warning for the area, a densely packed neighbourhood. No information about the casualties or injuries was not immediately reported from the strike. The strike came after Hezbollah fired nearly 200 rockets in Haifa on November 11 in a bid to avenge the killing of its top leaders. Lebanese militant group Hezbollah started firing rockets into Israeli border communities after Hamas’ attack in Israel on Oct 7, 2023. The unstoppable Israeli forces have nearly eliminated all the top commanders of Hezbollah and other Iranian proxies. Currently, Naim Qassem is leading an almost dismantled Hezbollah and is probably the next target of the IDF.

The situation remains tense, with both sides continuing to exchange fire, adding to the instability in the Middle East

12 November,2024 03:50 PM ISTAmid the ongoing India-Canada Row, Canada made another ‘provocative’ move. Canada blocked Australia’s Prominent diaspora outlet hours after coverage of EAM Jaishankar's presser in Canberra. Now, the Managing Editor of ‘The Australia Today’ issued a press statement condemning Canada’s action. The press statement said that the publication would continue to advocate for open media. During the press conference, Jaishankar condemned Canada’s actions, mentioning “unsupported allegations” against India. For a year now India-Canada diplomatic ties have been ‘sailing in rough waters’ over growing tensions driven by several key issues. Following Canada’s action of blocking ‘The Australia Today’, MEA criticised Canada’s free speech “hypocrisy”. India highlighted Canada’s inconsistency on freedom of speech, especially when dealing with issues critical of its stance toward India. In a recent act of violence against Hindus & Indian diaspora in Canada, a mob of Khalistanis vandalized Brampton’s Hindu Sabha Temple on Nov 03.
